Governors 2018-12-03T17:23:26+00:00

The Eardisley CE Primary School governors are committed volunteers who work hard to support and advise the school. They make a significant contribution to the school’s success; they know the school well, each having specific areas of responsibility, and connect with the school on a regular basis.

Please feel free to approach them directly if you have any questions or via the school office – especially if you would like to join our Governing Body.

The period of appointment for all governors is four years.

Our Governing Body is made up of the following people:

Phillip Whittall – Chair of Governors
Term of Office – 15.5.2019

Link Subjects:

  • Maths
  • Higher Achievers
  • The Arts, Design and Technology
  • Ethics Committee

Phil first became involved with the school some 40 years ago – as a pupil and his own daughter is currently a student. He is very proud of how the school has developed whilst staying loyal to its values, believing that the school should be an integral part of the local community and be at the heart of what happens in the area.

Away from school Phil is an Area Manager for BT Openreach and acts as the standard bearer for the local Royal British Legion.

In 2018 Phil raised over £3500 for charity through a trek in Nepal. In addition to this, he donated some Eardisley School books and stationery to a Nepalese school, and this has led the Tour Company who facilitated his trek to committing to doing the same each time they return.

Caroline Morris – Vice Chair of Governors
